The Hyacinth Oct/Nov ‘13
Before I headed home to Devon for the summer, I set out to find a gardening centre in London- the closest one was in Camden (I know!). When I found it, I picked a handful of hyacinth bulbs and stored them in a dark cupboard over summer. I put this hyacinth bulb over water the day I moved into my new flat, and placed it on my lovely little window sill (which is rapidly becoming a small plant nursery). I’ve enjoyed seeing the plant's root system progress as I put down roots into my own new home.
Today, I can see the first peep of the green leaves emerging from the head of the bulb.
Oh wow, I really like these photos. I need more plants in my flat, I had a bonsai tree but it died :-( I have just started writing a blog as well, I think I am getting to grips with it although technology is not my strong point haha x

Hi Lorna! Thanks for checking them out. Plants are very soothing to have in a home I think :) Your blog seems animal-y and nature-y, which I am totally into! Newbies together xx
